Engineering at the service of the concrete industry

Moebius is an independent engineering firm entirely dedicated to the machines and processes of the concrete industry. We design new equipment (special machines, automation systems, electrical cabinets built to European standards) and modernise existing installations, for precasters, ready-mix plants and equipment manufacturers. The team covers mechanical design (3D CAD on SolidWorks), hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial automation, through to testing and commissioning. We are not a structural engineering firm: we do not size reinforced-concrete buildings. We design the machines that produce, batch, convey and transform concrete. Based in Reichshoffen, Alsace, with an R&D office near Paris, we work across France, Switzerland and Belgium.

It has been our specialty since 2020, by design: one sector, known inside out, with its cycle times, wear constraints and vocabulary. We work for three families of clients: precasters (production lines, carousels, handling systems), ready-mix plants and networks (batching, retrofit, automation) and equipment manufacturers who entrust us with the mechanical or electrical design of their machines. Delivered projects range from Artemix's autonomous batching plant to the control cabinets of Schwing Stetter mobile pumps, through the coordination of a precast-wall carousel for FEHR Technologies. The same machine skills (batching, conveying, automation, hydraulics) also apply to quarries and to recycling or construction-waste treatment equipment: we review those requests case by case.

With a technical conversation, no strings attached: you describe the need, we ask the right questions, and we reply within one business day. If the subject deserves to go further, we formalise a written scoping: scope, budget, milestones, deliverables. You know where you are going before you sign. Then comes design and engineering: 3D CAD on SolidWorks, automation, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic schematics depending on the project, with regular progress reviews. And we stay at your side for what follows: manufacturing follow-up, testing, commissioning in your plant and training for your teams. From the first conversation to commissioning, you keep a single point of contact who knows your file and your production constraints.

Yes. Moebius holds the CIR approval for 2025, 2026 and 2027: the research and development work you entrust to us can qualify for your tax credit, with up to 30% recovered on eligible expenses. Typical cases include the design of special machines, automation development, and prototyping and test campaigns, provided they resolve a genuine technical uncertainty. The approval, granted by the French ministry for Research, allows our clients to declare R&D work subcontracted to Moebius. And because a CIR claim stands on solid documentation, we document the work as the project progresses: state of the art, technical hurdles, tests carried out.
